Rooted in the Word: Scripture Comes Alive at the 2025 NAD Pathfinder Bible Experience
From April 25 to 26, more than 3,000 Pathfinders, supporters, and volunteers packed the arena in historic Battle Creek, Michigan, for a weekend of worship, Bible knowledge testing, and celebration. And on Sabbath, April 26, 185 teams — the second highest number ever — gathered in person from across North America and beyond. Four teams joined virtually.

Lessons for the Living
I have a confession to make. I have a habit, some might call it a morbid one, but wherever I go, whatever city I’m visiting, I will find myself in the oldest cemetery in town, walking among the dead. I can go to a cemetery, and stay for two hours, three hours, and I walk up and down reading the tombstones. I like to ponder: Who was this person? What was their life?

Help Provided in St. Louis After Tornado Strike
On May 16, 2025, a powerful EF-3 tornado tore through St. Louis, Missouri, and continued into Madison County, Illinois, reaching wind speeds of up to 152 mph and spanning 22.8 miles. NAD Adventist Community Services (ACS) is partnering with the Mid-America Union Conference, local churches, civic leaders, and other Adventist entities to provide ongoing disaster relief.

Southern Adventist University Nursing Students Create Community Health Connections
Community health is a crucial element of nursing that takes place beyond the hospital setting. “The goal of community health is to improve the overall health and well-being of communities,” says John Singletary, instructor at Southern Adventist University’s School of Nursing. “By meeting physical and spiritual needs, we help create a stronger, healthier, and more connected community where everyone can thrive.”

Adventist Community Services Distributes Water in Jackson, Mississippi
On Sabbath, September 3, 2022, Adventist Community Services (ACS) hosted a water distribution at a local Adventist school in Jackson, Mississippi, a city of about 150,000 residents. A total of 15,000 bottles of water were handed out.

An Adventist Church in New Jersey Celebrates Juneteenth with the Community
The Township of Willingboro, New Jersey, invited the Willingboro Seventh-day Adventist Church to participate in the town’s second annual Juneteenth Festival on June 18, 2022. Marilyn Bell, director of communication/event coordinator for the festival, was pleased with the church’s participation in 2021, telling them that the church received rave reviews.

Holbrook Indian School Mourns Loss of Student in Tragic Bus Accident
On August 28, 2022, 17-year-old student Kiarra Alma Gordon was killed and six others injured during an accident involving a bus from the Holbrook Indian School (HIS) in Arizona. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the bus slowed down in traffic near a rollover crash when it was struck from behind by a semi-truck.

2022 CALLED Convention News Coverage
The 2022 CALLED Pastors' Family Convention was held June 19-22 in Lexington, Kentucky. Close to 6,000 clergy members and family attended the quinquennial event that was delayed for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are links to stories and videos from this event.
