From March 22-30, 2025, a team of 19 students and five nursing faculty and staff from Pacific Union College provided physicals, well visits, and regular physician office and dental care to 311 patients in Mana, Fiji.

Chamber Winds Brazil Tour Gives Students Opportunity to Connect
It was oboist Afonso Bittencourt Brito’s first time back in his native Brazil since leaving 18 months earlier to study at La Sierra University. During spring break in March, he toured the South American nation and visited his hometown as a member of a La Sierra University Chamber Winds quintet that gave performances and master classes.

Disabilities Ministries Annual Conference: A Historic Gathering at Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church
The last Sabbath of March 2025 marked the Disabilities Ministries Annual Conference, hosted this year by the Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church in Haymarket, Virginia. Adventist Health White Memorial Celebrates “Hospital Sabbath”

First New Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary Released in Nearly 70 Years
After nearly 70 years, a group of global scholars decided to revamp the Seventh-day Adventist Bible Commentary (originally published in 1953). The first full volume (volume 6) of the new commentary, called the Seventh-day Adventist International Bible Commentary (SDAIBC), was released this fall. Carlos Charnichart Joins Southwestern Adventist University
Earlier this school year, Southwestern Adventist University welcomed Carlos Charnichart as vice president for financial administration and chief financial officer. He is responsible for the financial position of the university, for budgeting, for financial reporting to higher institutions and the government, and he will oversee the university’s operational departments.

Adventist Women Leaders Now Part of North American Division Women’s Ministries
Adventist Women Leaders (AWL) has joined the North American Division Women’s Ministries Department. The community’s new home is part of a larger plan to help AWL grow, reach and serve more women leaders with resources, events and mentoring opportunities.
