As the year of Pentecost 2025 draws to a close, the North American Division encourages pastors and local leaders who have not done so to submit their final reports as soon as possible, preferably before the January 31, 2026, deadline. Of course, this is a practical request: in order to receive the final funding the post-report needs to be turned in. But it is more than that, explains Kent Sharpe, Antioch Initiative project director for the NAD.
“There is a wonderful opportunity to share what happened with the NAD and we, in turn, can share those stories across the division and world,” Sharpe said. “We have hundreds of reports with incredible stories about how the Holy Spirit has worked through members in amazing and miraculous ways to change the lives of many. These stories are important because they provide inspiration and encouragement; they are motivational as we hope to continue the cycle again and again in the NAD.”
Sharpe explained the cycle briefly as 1) Earnest and humble praying for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit; 2) Entering into community engagement upon assessing local needs; 3) Conducting evangelistic, proclamation meetings; and 4) “Discipling believers to start the cycle all over again —with intentional prayer at every step of the way.”
As reports stream in the latter half of 2025, the NAD has received this blessing of hearing many stories of lives changed through the Power of the Holy Spirit and the efforts of Adventist members. Here are just a few snippets from some of those post reports, and later, information for churches and schools on submitting post reports.
New Generation Church, North Miami, Florida
At the New Generation Seventh-day Adventist Church, the Pentecost 2025 series, “We Are Nearing Home,” held from January 3 to February 25, 2025, became a powerful outpouring of God’s Spirit that continues to bear fruit.
What began as a local evangelistic effort quickly became a “global movement.” Through online streaming, the series reached more than 58,000 viewers across nine countries, spreading messages of hope, healing, and restoration. As the weeks unfolded, the Spirit moved and nine people publicly committed their lives to Christ through baptism.
Behind each baptism was a story of redemption and transformation. One young person, once burdened by years of abuse and suicidal thoughts, found hope in Christ during the series. Following their baptism, they rose from despair and are now actively serving in youth ministry, determined to lead others to the same healing they have found.
Another story came from a man who had left the Adventist church and does not live in North Miami. After finding the New Generation church online, he responded to the call of the Holy Spirit, and was baptized. And not only did he take this step, his wife was also baptized. The ripple effect didn’t stop there — his wife shared the life-changing experience with her sister, who also chose to be baptized.

Perhaps most inspiring was the determination of a 16-year-old who traveled 120 miles each weekend just to attend the series. Her persistence paid off as she entered the waters of baptism, declaring her unwavering faith.
The church had prepared earnestly for this spiritual moment with a week of prayer that united the congregation in intercession. That preparation paved the way for revival — and the work has not stopped. New Generation church is now intentionally nurturing these new believers and warmly welcoming the many guests who attended.
Jackson Heights Seventh-day Adventist School, Woodside, New York
From April 14 to 18, 2025, Jackson Heights Seventh-day Adventist School in participated in a unique Pentecost 2025 event. Students learned about the Fruit of the Spirit from church pastor Christian Genao, aka “Chef Curie.” The week culminated in a presentation where Genao blended different fruits, symbolizing the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Seventeen students accepted a call to live out these virtues and prepare for baptism. Five baptisms resulted.
Dover First Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dover, Delaware
The Hope for Today evangelistic series led by Dover First Seventh-day Adventist Church was a Spirit-led outreach held in May 2025 as part of the Pentecost 2025 initiative. Blending prophetic preaching with compassionate community service, the event featured nightly messages by Pastor D.W. West and distributed coats, sneakers, produce, and health resources to more than 90 families. With partnerships from organizations such as One Warm Coat and First Fruits Farm, the church demonstrated Christ’s method in action. The series resulted in two baptisms and a surge in spiritual interest, growing their contact list to 289 individuals. Pastor Javier Scharon said the series “was both a reaping event and a planting event,” adding, “With follow-up and continued ministry, we look forward to seeing the Lord work in even greater ways in the days and months ahead.”

Eugene Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, Eugene Oregon
From March 1-8, 2025, the Eugene Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church held its New Beginning Pentecost 2025 series, averaging 90 attendees nightly and total non-member attendance of 48. Preparation included seven days of prayer, featuring a symbolic heart on the pulpit where members placed the names of family and friends they wanted to win for Jesus. Outreach included three community lunches. The Lord richly blessed these efforts with 29 baptisms! Follow-up plans include small groups, with each elder assigned to connect with a new believer.

Baton Rouge Seventh-day Adventist Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
“And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.” (Acts 2:17). This promise was fulfilled at the Baton Rouge Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Jesus Is Coming Soon Pentecost 2025 series, held in March 2025. A total of 15 were baptized, with one profession of faith.
For months, the youth small group prayed for and mentored 10 community youth — and three of the 10 were baptized during the series. Their testimony reminds us that God uses all ages for His mission of salvation. Let us continue praying that the remaining youth will soon follow their peers in their decision for Christ.
Laurel Lake Summer Camp, Rossiter, Pennsylvania
Todd Casey, Pennsylvania Conference youth director, reported using the Momentum Youth Bible Study Seriesproduced by the NAD’s Youth and Young Adult department for Pentecost 2025 at Lake Laurel Summer Camp. Counselors used these guides for group evening devotions with their campers, resulting, said Casey, in “a real spiritual atmosphere at camp this summer.” He further noted that “while summer camp is an evangelistic program, through and through, [the Bible studies] allowed for more structured time and material to bring the kids closer to Christ.”
Extending this spiritual focus, the boys’ director led a special Bible study group for boys during the final two weeks of camp. In total, 24 campers expressed a desire for baptism. All decisions were conveyed to parents, pastors, and the conference’s ministerial director, with arrangements made for follow-up studies at local churches.
