Mid-America Union Conference Executive Committee Appoints New Communication Director
During its regular spring meeting, the Mid-America Union Executive Committee voted to approve a recommendation by MAUC’s administrative team outlining a leadership transition for the union’s communication department. Following the vote, then-director Brenda Dickerson became the associate director, and then-associate director/digital media manager Hugh Davis became the new director, effective May 1, 2025. This transition of titles, initially proposed by Dickerson, serves as a model for succession planning and smooth leadership transitions in appointed positions.

James P. Willis II Elected as New Vice President for Education for the Pacific Union Conference
The Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has elected James P. Willis II as its new vice president for education, effective July 1, 2025. He will succeed Dr. Berit von Pohle, who is retiring after a distinguished career spanning 46 years in Adventist education.

Business Students and Entrepreneurs Participate in Hyve Conference at Andrews University
Andrews University hosted the third annual North American Hyve International Conference from March 27–29, a gathering where students, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders and businesspeople networked with fellow innovators and pitched their ideas. Through various workshops and programs on campus, practicing entrepreneurs shared their experiences and advice on how to cultivate a strong business in a way that glorifies God.

Chosen International Camporee-Donated Items Pour in to Aid Ministries
When Kiana Roat, former principal of Green Bay Adventist Junior Academy in Wisconsin, approached Pathfinder area coordinator Becky Zeismer last year with the idea of collecting sleeping bags no longer needed after Oshkosh, the two had no idea what to expect. And no one imagined the extraordinary outpouring of goods received. “I was hoping we’d get a few sleeping bags, but I was overwhelmed with the amount of food!” said Zeismer.

New Church Mission Forms at Abundant Living Evangelistic Series' Conclusion
For four weeks, in an unprecedented event, the Northeastern Conference (NEC) hosted the Abundant Living Evangelistic Series right in the parking lot of the conference headquarters in Jamaica, New York. Led by Oswald Euell, NEC executive secretary, and assisted by Winston Stephenson, NEC assistant to the president for evangelism, as well as pastors from the NEC churches located in and around Queens, the series ran July 14-August 10, 2019. At the conclusion of the series, 105 people were baptized, and a new mission was formed — the City Seventh-day Adventist Mission.

Centenarian Attends Evangelistic Campaign in Florida
Alex Dorival, 112 at the time, was seated in his favorite pew as Jeffrey Thompson and Ruben Joseph did tag preaching at New Generation Adventist Church on Sabbath, April 20, 2019. A week of energetic preaching was brought to a climax with four people led to Christ by the two pastors who exchanged pulpits, but preached the final sermon together at New Generation and Fort Lauderdale Adventist churches.

Breath of Life Ministries Empowers Members, Publishes its First Book for Literature Evangelism
On June 19, Breath of Life released its first sharing book, FREE: Revisiting God’s Plan for Oppressed People. The pocket-sized volume points readers to a deliverer who is concerned about the social, economic, and political circumstances that oppress bodies and suppress voices of millions of people in America and around the world.
