Just in time for summer watching, the first episode of the North American Division’s new documentary web series, Faith at Work, will premiere June 26, 2026, on the @NADAdventist YouTube channel.
The 10-episode series highlights practical, hands-on ways that churches and schools across the division are connecting with their communities. Each episode showcases a creative outreach hosted by a church or school during the 2025 Pentecost initiative, offering practical ministry inspiration for congregations looking for new ways to serve this summer.
Featured outreach efforts include ESL classes, dental care, community gardens, and a food bank that has served its community for more than 50 years. All nine unions in the North American Division are represented in the series.
The release of the series is part of this year’s Pentecost and Beyond emphasis, building on the momentum churches began during Pentecost 2025. After the June 26 premiere, one episode will be released each week on the NAD YouTube channel.
“These stories remind us that ministry often begins with simply paying attention to the needs around us,” said series executive producer Julio C. Muñoz. “The churches and schools featured in Faith at Work are teaching, healing, building relationships, and sharing hope in very practical ways. Together, they offer a beautiful picture of what following Jesus’ example can mean.”
Kimberly Luste Maran, NAD director of communication, said she hopes the series will inspire pastors, church members, educators, and ministry leaders to think intentionally about how they can serve their own communities.
“The stories featured in this series reveal how members across North America are putting their faith into action,” said Maran, who also served as an executive producer on the series. “I hope viewers will see something that sparks a new idea, encourages them to try something different, and helps them recognize opportunities for ministry in their own communities.”
The series was produced in collaboration with filmmakers connected to the Sonscreen Film Festival community, giving emerging and professional Adventist storytellers an opportunity to help document ministry taking place across the division.
“This series was an enormously collaborative effort,” said Rachel “Rynn” Scribner, producer of Faith at Work. “It was especially meaningful to see the church celebrating the creativity of filmmakers who grew up in the Sonscreen community and are now using those gifts to tell stories for their church.”
Scribner said she hopes viewers come away encouraged by the creativity, care, and commitment shown by the featured churches and schools.
“These episodes show faith being put into practice in real communities,” Scribner said. “I’m excited for viewers to see the creative ways churches and schools are serving, connecting, and sharing hope.”
Viewers can watch the first episode of Faith at Work beginning June 26 on the @NADAdventist YouTube channel. New episodes will be released weekly throughout the summer.
