Adventist Connect

Adventist Connect is a ministry affiliate of the North American Division dedicated to helping local Seventh-day Adventist® churches, organizations, and ministries strengthen their community outreach through technology and media. Formerly known as Adventist Information Ministry (AIM), Adventist Connect continues its legacy of supporting media evangelism while expanding its tools and resources to serve churches in the digital age. Adventist Connect is a ministry of connection to bridge interested individuals with the local churches across North America. We provide pastoral care and member care by employing undergraduate and graduate students from two university campuses, Andrews University, in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and Walla Walla University, in College Place, Washington.

Adventist Church Connect and Adventist School Connect Platform Rebuild Continues as Customization Plans Begin to Emerge

The North American Division is current engaged in an exciting rebuild of the platform that powers Adventist Church Connect (ACC) and Adventist School Connect (ASC). In late 2024 or early 2025, ACC/ASC will move to an entirely new WordPress-based platform, matching the existing functionality and giving the platform a new foundation to move forward providing more than 6,600 websites for all churches and schools across the NAD.

Adventist Information Ministry Goes West

Adventist Information Ministry (AIM) has been advancing the North American Division’s (NAD) evangelistic efforts since 1982, when it was established on the Andrews University campus in Berrien Springs, Michigan, as an evangelistic contact center for Adventist media ministries. Today, it serves as the division’s epicenter for connecting broadcast and social media interests with local churches through phone and online platforms. The success of AIM’s recent digital evangelism efforts, namely working with churches to run social media ads for prayer, has necessitated a larger workforce.

NAD Year-End Meeting Day Four Focuses on Evangelism, Church Membership, and Care

“God has people out there waiting for someone to knock at their door, and that someone is us,” said G. Alexander Bryant, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America on Sunday, Oct. 29, as the fourth day of business sessions of the 2023 NAD Year-End Meeting focused on evangelism, church membership, and care.

Adventist Information Ministry's New Suicide Prevention Course a Lifeline for Callers

When Mari Bowerman began working at Adventist Information Ministry (AIM) as operations supervisor a year ago, she noticed they were receiving “quite a bit of calls” from people struggling with depression. Recently, AIM director Brent Hardinge took a critical step toward meeting interests’ wholistic needs by appointing Marshall McKenzie as assistant director for pastoral care. Keying in on the mental health aspect, Bowerman sought out training so AIM staff could better respond to callers exhibiting signs of depression and high risk of suicide.

Adventist Information Ministries Expands Reach With New Assistant Director for Pastoral Care

AIM recently appointed Marshall McKenzie as assistant director for pastoral care. His primary responsibility will be training and mentoring AIM’s referral chaplains, who develop interests in different regions, and digital evangelism specialists, who engage with social media contacts. McKenzie will also ensure that contacts coming through AIM are offered an opportunity for pastoral care. This move underscores AIM’s focus on providing contacts to the local church and serving as a bridge between digital and traditional media and the local church.
