Now in its 22nd year, this unique NAD event showcased 48 student films and several professional projects, featured workshops led by professional faith-based filmmakers, and honored emerging voices via a pitch competition with cash prizes and an awards ceremony.

Storm Interrupts International Pathfinder Camporee, Displaces Some Campers

The 2024 International Pathfinder Camporee (IPC) at the CAM-PLEX Multi-Event Facilities canceled its Tuesday night program due to thunderstorms that brought heavy rains and lightning. Shortly before 6 p.m. MT on August 6, campers were evacuated from tents and moved inside buildings for shelter from the storm, which produced strong wind gusts.

Pathfinders to Attempt Breaking Four Guinness World Records at Gillette Camporee

Pathfinders heading to the “Believe the Promise” International Camporee in Gillette, Wyoming, will strive to break four Guinness World Records: the largest postcard collection, the biggest great ball contraption (GBC), the fastest time erecting a four-person tent, and the most backpacks stuffed with school supplies in an hour.

La Sierra University School of Education Launches Leadership Academy for New Administrators

A new certificate program, the School Leadership Academy through the La Sierra University School of Education, was launched at the end of June, providing fledgling school leaders best chances for success with instruction in strategies and practices for dealing with key challenge areas. The academy, a training program designed for K-12 education leaders, hosted a first cohort of 12 administrators and teachers for four days between June 24-27, 2024.

International Pathfinder Camporee Offering More Than 10,000 Hours of Volunteer Service to Gillette Community

When Darin Edmonds talks about the Pathfinders coming to town, he can’t stop smiling. He is proud that, as former chair of the Campbell County Public Land Board (2020-2023), he signed the contract designating Gillette, Wyoming, as the site of the 2024 “Believe the Promise” International Pathfinder Camporee, running from August 5-11.
