The North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists is pleased to announce that next year’s Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) division-level finals event will take place April 23-24, 2027, at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
PBE, the official Bible study program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for Pathfinders, continues to grow across North America, drawing thousands of young people into intentional, in-depth Scripture engagement each year. Local church teams study and memorize assigned books of the Bible, progressing through area, conference, and union level testing in order to earn advancement to the division finals.
For the 2027 season, Pathfinders will study the New Testament books of Mark; 1 Peter; 2 Peter; 1 John; 2 John; and 3 John. These selections continue the program’s pattern of alternating between Old and New Testament study cycles.
Organizers say the impact of PBE extends beyond competition. “Pathfinder Bible Experience is life-changing,” said Armando Miranda Jr., NAD Youth and Young Adult Ministries associate director and NAD Club Ministries director. “Life-changing for the Pathfinders, life-changing for the families, life-changing for the churches.”
Miranda emphasized that the program meets a critical need for young people today by encouraging deep focus and meaningful connection with Scripture. In a fast-paced, digital world, PBE creates space for youth to slow down, engage deeply with God’s Word, and build lasting spiritual habits—often alongside their families and church communities. “In five, 10 years, we hope that they look back and they have good memories … and that they still study the Bible,” Miranda said.
For the 2027 event, the Spanish version of PBE will use the Reina-Valera 1995 Bible, and a full transition to the Reina-Valera 2000 begins in 2028. The English version will continue to use the New King James Version (NKJV).
As planning begins for 2027, NAD leaders invite Pathfinders, families, and churches to prepare for another year of study, growth, and shared experience centered on God’s Word.
