Drs. Claudio and Pamela Consuegra, NAD Family Ministries directors, took full advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine from home, not only by having hundreds of virtual speaking appointments via Zoom, but also by researching and authoring six new resources. “All of these resources were requested by the field,” shared the Consuegras. We are excited to share that three of these resources have already been released by AdventSource.”

Building Homes of Hope and Wholeness — This is a new training program for local church Family Ministries leaders. “Many of our union and conference directors requested an easier, streamlined, practical, and more uniform training program. This training program has six modules and can be completed within one day, as they requested,” the Consuegras said. The program includes a leader’s guide, a participant’s guide, and PowerPoint slides. It replaces the program that has been around for 10-15 years. The title also reflects the mission statement of the NAD which reads, “To reach North America, and the world, with the distinctive, Christ-centered Seventh-day Adventist message of hope and wholeness.”

Solo Mom — This is a book for single moms. It was written at the request of NAD Women’s Ministries, who realized the need for such a resource. This resource will benefit leaders in Family Ministries, Single Adult Ministries, and Women’s Ministries.

Solo Dad — This is a book for single dads. “Once we completed the book for single moms, we realized the importance of providing single dads with similar help,” they shared. This resource will benefit leaders in Family Ministries, Single Adult Ministries, and Men’s Ministries.

“Our mission is to provide resources, training, and networking opportunities that will instill hope and bring wholeness to families within the territory of the North American Division,” said the Consuegras.“Creating these resources is well worth the effort and we are glad to be part of the evangelistic efforts of our division.”

These books are now available at www.AdventSource.org. Within the next two months, all three of these books will also be available in Spanish and French, and for sale in digital format on Amazon.
