As followers of Christ serving in Seventh-day Adventist organizations across the North American Division, we have a sacred responsibility to nurture and protect the vulnerable members of our communities — especially our children and youth. As part of our fulfillment of this duty, the North American Division partners with a respected external company called Sterling Volunteers. Per NAD Policy
Any volunteer over the age of 18 who is voted into a role within a North American Division church or organization must complete two requirements before serving:
- a criminal background check (Form FB 20)
- child protection training
Both requirements are administered through Sterling Volunteers and must be renewed every three years.
