Ignacio Goya, who describes himself as a fourth generation Adventist on one side of his family and a fifth generation communist on the other side, grew up in the Adventist church and always wanted to be a pastor. He found himself in finance for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) for many years before God opened the door for him to go to seminary and then serve as a pastor. Goya, after pastoring at the local church level for years, recently accepted the call to serve as the director of the Center for Community Change at Andrews University. Goya is featured on the cover of the October 2023 Adventist Journey magazine.
