Jennifer Tomita was born and raised in Hawaii. She did not grow up Adventist, and was introduced to the faith through her husband and the NET ’96 meetings. Tomita has always had a passion for teaching and guiding young children and has been involved in Pathfinders and children’s ministries at her church. But it wasn’t until God spoke to her through an accident that she turned her career full-time to teaching in early childhood education. Tomita is featured on the cover of the December 2023 Adventist Journey.
