Nursing Students & Faculty Return to Fiji to Serve Their Mana Family
From March 22-30, 2025, a team of 19 students and five nursing faculty and staff from Pacific Union College provided physicals, well visits, and regular physician office and dental care to 311 patients in Mana, Fiji.

It was oboist Afonso Bittencourt Brito’s first time back in his native Brazil since leaving 18 months earlier to study at La Sierra University. During spring break in March, he toured the South American nation and visited his hometown as a member of a La Sierra University Chamber Winds quintet that gave performances and master classes.

The last Sabbath of March 2025 marked the Disabilities Ministries Annual Conference, hosted this year by the Living Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church in Haymarket, Virginia. Representatives from across the country joined forces to share insights, with the event live-streamed for those unable to attend in person. The joyous day, which consisted of two ceremonies, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, brought together the congregation and friends from near and far.

It Is Written Wins 11 Telly Awards
It is with gratitude that It Is Written announces it has received 11 Telly Awards this year for various programs. Two gold awards were presented to “Escrito Está,” our Spanish-language ministry, in recognition of its exceptional contributions to spiritual broadcasting and editing. It Is Written programs “The Hero” and “Great Characters of the Bible: Solomon” were honored with silver and bronze awards in the Television Craft category, among others.

That’s a Wrap!
The two weeks following the end of the 2023 academic school year were not a quiet summer respite for 14 communication students at Walla Walla University. Instead, the days, and sometimes late nights, were filled with costumes, cameras, and a clapperboard. The communication students were helping on set during the production of a short film, “The Color of Threads,” produced by the WWU Center for Media Ministry.

The gentle hum of summer life was altered at Burman University during the first weekend of July as hundreds gathered on the campus. It began weeks and months out as the organizing team had been preparing for what would soon be the arrival of 300 pastors from across Canada, with our visitors totaling 500 people, including families, presenters, and exhibitors for the SDACC Ministerial Summit.
