Bettina Krause serves as editor of Liberty magazine and associate director of the North American Division’s Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) department. Krause brings substantial experience at the highest levels of church and government engagement to her role, having served as associate director of the General Conference PARL department, where she represented the world church in Washington, D.C., engaging with Congress, the White House, and the diplomatic and international NGO communities. She has also served as deputy secretary-general of the International Religious Liberty Association and as Special Assistant for Global Initiatives to then General Conference president Jan Paulsen. Krause holds a law degree with first-class honors from Macquarie University School of Law in Sydney, Australia.
