Young Adult LIFE Tour Coming to Portland, Oregon

Many of our local churches love their young adults but are at a loss as to where to begin a thriving ministry with them. The North Pacific Union Young Adult LIFE Tour intends to bring insights and relevant, doable steps toward building a flourishing young adult ministry now.

The tour’s next stop will be in Portland, Oregon, from April 19-20, 2024, at the Pleasant Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church. For in-person registrants, the tour stop will include practical training, exclusive resources, inspirational worship, ministry networking, Sabbath meals, and much more. The featured presenter will be Steven Argue, with special guest worship leader Robert Leslie Jr.

Church leaders, pastors, and young adults are invited to this free young adult ministry training event sponsored by the North American Division Youth and Young Adult Ministry, North Pacific Union Conference Youth and Young Adult Ministries, Oregon Conference Young Adult Ministries, AdventSource, and Pleasant Valley church.

The Young Adult LIFE Tour intends to be experiential and interactive, holding tour stops in local Adventist churches across the division where young adult ministry is bringing vitality to the entire congregation. Following the North Pacific Union tour stop, plans are being laid for tour stops in Lake Union and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada.

Meet the Featured Guests

Steven Argue, Ph.D., will be the featured presenter for the North Pacific Union Young Adult Life Tour. Argue, author of Young Adult Ministry Now, is an associate professor of youth, family, and culture at Fuller Theological Seminary and the applied research strategist at the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI). He has worked in multiple ministry contexts as a youth pastor, parachurch leader, and pastoral team leader.

Robert Leslie Jr. will be the worship leader for the Young Adult Life Tour. Leslie is a worship leader and vocalist who has led worship for the last 15 years. Growing up, he felt the calling from God to create authentic spaces where people could have intentional encounters with Jesus. A graduate of Union College in Nebraska, he currently serves as a worship leader for various churches in the Lincoln and Omaha areas.
