Discovering purpose, impacting communities, and transitioning professions were among the various topics highlighted at the “Uplift and Empower Women in 2018” International Women’s Day Forum. The headquarters of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists hosted the forum on March 8.
The modernist view of reality has taught people to look at their lives compartmentally. Work is a separate box from the church box, from the family box, from the social box, etc. It is not a problem, therefore, to act one way at work and another way at church, in both worship service and Sabbath School.

The enditnow Pastors’ Summit on Abuse was held on Sept. 11 (English) and Sept. 12 (Spanish). Trained counselors and experts helped pastors and chaplains learn how to identify abuse, help victims, and work toward abuse prevention in this live-streamed event. This summit was free, but participants registered to watch the video event.
