“Creator’s Corner” helps ministries create timeless content and charts a course for future media efforts. The exhibit hall buzzed with activity, but inside the plexiglass-walled booth, the noise was muffled. Tucked among the bustling displays at the 62nd General Conference Session, this compact room stood out. Outfitted with cameras, lighting, and audio gear, it was clear to any passerby: this was a content creation studio.
Called the “Creator’s Corner,” it’s the first of its kind at a GC Session. Presented by the North American Division (NAD), it offered ministries a professional space to create high-quality content on-site — no extra gear or complicated setup required. With members from around the world gathered in one place, ministries had a rare chance to record interviews and stories that would otherwise be out of reach.
The idea for Creator’s Corner came after receiving feedback from various departments requesting a podcasting station.
“We decided to build one space where everybody could make use of that one space to create and make sure the quality standard is consistent across the board,” said Rohann Wellington director for NAD professional services.

Recording slots were reserved in advanced and quickly filled. While 12 different NAD departments initially signed up, more joined throughout the week. Additionally, some other ministries and institutions took advantage of this innovative booth, producing content for podcasts, websites, and social media. Breath of Life Ministries used the booth to record two episodes of their “Breathe” podcast hosted by Debleaire Snell with co-host David Person. Kirk Nugent, digital content specialist for Breath of Life, said he hoped to capture content during GC Session, but wasn’t sure how he would manage the logistics of bringing studio equipment.
“We had a [time] spot that we could record. And then we found out that it's not only audio, it'll [also] be video. That was even better! Three cameras… even better. That's exactly how we shoot our podcast back at the studio in Huntsville, [Alabama],” Nugent shared.
With their recording session scheduled in advance, Breath of Life was able to promote the podcast recording at their exhibit booth. Attendees walking by the Creator’s Corner could watch the recording live through a screen mounted just outside the studio.
“It’s kind of like a live recording, which we've never done before,” Nugent said. “The experience was really good.”
The Creator’s Corner was developed and operated by the NAD’s Professional Services team, with support from the NAD GC planning committee.
Wellington described the modular recording studio as a pilot project, which he said has received overwhelming positive feedback. “Not just our directors, but those who are passing by, those who are interacting — listening to the podcast, those who are being interviewed, they have all said resoundingly, ‘Hey, can we do this in another five years?’”

Departmental directors appreciated the studio so much that many have requested a similar recording booth be placed in the NAD headquarters. While the booth was built specifically for GC Session, its design allows it to be reused and possibly even reconfigured.
Wellington said the project was well received partially because it helps achieve the media emphasis of the NAD’s strategic focus in fulfilling its mission.*
“The podcasting booth is representing media fulfilling mission as we reach North America and beyond with a distinctive Christ-centered message of hope and wholeness.” Wellington said.
Content recorded by the NAD will be available to those interested. Visit www.NADAdventist.org/CreatorsCorner to learn more.
