Richard Parke grew up in an Adventist home in a small Adventist community. In elementary school he moved to Berrien Springs, Michigan, where he found more ways to serve in his church and community. After graduating from Andrews University, and years of computer work for a family-owned doctor’s office, Parke became the director of media for Pioneer Memorial Church. Parke is featured on the August 2020 Adventist Journey magazine cover.
