Our Brand

Consistency and awareness are vital in effectively communicating our unity, making the Seventh-day Adventist® Church more recognizable to the public.

Trademark and Logo Usage

Church trademarks, such as “Seventh-day Adventist,” “Adventist,” and “Ministry,” may be used only in connection with denominational ministries and non-commercial activities of approved lay and professional groups.

Seventh-day Adventist Church Websites

Technological advances have made it possible for a local entity of the Church to exhibit a global presence through a website. It is in the interest of the worldwide Church to provide guidance regarding how the Church is portrayed, and thus perceived, through a website. All denominational entities choosing to establish an online presence are expected to develop their websites within the scope of the following guidelines.

Guidance on Immigration Enforcement Activity on Church and School Property

These guidelines are designed to give general legal guidance on how to deal with the possibility of enforcement of U.S. immigration laws on Adventist properties, including churches and schools. The guidance this document provides is intended to address issues faced by the Adventist Church as an entity, rather than to provide legal advice for individual members or attendees.

God’s Call to Live in Healing and Harmony

The North American Division stands in support of the principles outlined in the General Conference statement, “One Humanity: A Human Relations Statement Addressing Racism, Casteism, Tribalism, and Ethnocentrism.” This document offers a biblical response to the issues specific to the NAD, contextualizes the “One Humanity” document into the North American setting, and faithfully reflects the biblical understanding of social justice and Christian responsibility…

North American Division Statement Regarding the Doctrine of Discovery

From its inception, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has sought to reflect Christ’s
ministry of healing and reconciliation. Our commitment is driven by unchanging biblical truths about God’s character and His relationship with humanity, which reveal that every person bears the image of the Creator (Gen. 1:26-28), is cherished by Him (Rom. 8:35, 37-39), and is endowed with infinite dignity and worth (Ps. 8:4-8,139:1-16; Matt. 10:29-31).

North American Division Statement on Human Sexuality

North American Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists stands in full support of the General Conference guidelines regarding human sexuality, released in the spring of 2014, as well as the other official statements on marriage, family, homosexuality, and same-sex unions. To address issues specific to the NAD, this statement is presented not as a theological document but as one drawing from biblical teachings, some practical understandings, and guidelines for the Adventist Church in North America.

Statements of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

The General Conference coordinates the mission of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church and, from time to time, finds it important to articulate our understanding as Adventists of certain important topics in light of biblical values and teachings.
