Responding to the call of local churches for training and guidance in developing young adult ministry, the Young Adult LIFE Tour aims to equip and empower local churches across the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists (NAD). The next stop on the tour is coming this October.

Students in every Adventist school in North America will have access this fall to the new “Andrews Bible Commentary” through an initiative financially sponsored by three organizations, according to John Wesley Taylor, president of Andrews University. NAD Adventist Education plans to cover the shipping cost for the commentary to be sent out from Andrews to approximately 750 elementary and secondary schools in the United States, Canada, Bermuda and Guam-Micronesia, starting in September.

The North American Division (NAD) Office of Archives, Statistics, and Research will be holding the first annual Women in Seventh-day Adventist History research conference on October 12-14, 2023, at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church, on the campus of Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Maryland. The conference will feature a plethora of researchers who will be sharing stories of historical Adventist women.

On Labor Day weekend, Sept. 1-3, 2023, Breath of Life Ministries is partnering with the Lake Region Conference to host its second annual Young Adult Rally. The rally will take place in Chicago, Illinois. The theme is “Strengthening Your Core.”

Guide, the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s weekly publication for juniors and earliteens, has announced the launch of its new website and a mobile app. “We’ve talked about an app for Guide magazine for years,” says Guide webmaster Kim Peckham. “We had online content for our audience, but we wanted to make it easier for the current generation to access.”

Adventist Church Connect (ACC) and Adventist School Connect (ASC), the leading website content management and hosting provider for Seventh-day Adventist churches and schools in North America, have been instrumental in assisting entities across the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and the Guam-Micronesia Mission territory in utilizing the power of the Internet to connect with their communities of members and visitors. This spring, the North American Division Administrative Committee voted to continue to fund and support ACC/ASC.

In March 2023 Versacare Foundation awarded 133 grants totaling $2,493,872 across North America and Caribbean Island nations. These grants included $449,772 to 58 primary, intermediate and secondary schools across the North American Division.

After a five-month search, Kettering Health has invited Michael Gentry to lead the next chapter of the organization’s future as chief executive officer (CEO). Gentry is an accomplished and mission-driven healthcare leader with executive experience at top systems across the country. His first official day at Kettering Health will be July 3, 2023.

Breath of Life Ministries is hosting its office dedication and open house on Sunday, April 9, 2023. The ministry moved into the new suite at the end of 2022. The brand new 8,000 sq. foot space, located on the first floor of the Charles E. Dudley Sr. Center for Regional Conference Ministries, includes a studio, podcast room, green room, collaboration room, and numerous offices.
