Bio
Pastor James (JB) Black, Sr. is the director of youth ministries for the North American Division. He oversees Teens, Pathfinders, Adventurers, Master Guides, Young Adults, Adventist Christian Fellowship, and Camp Ministries. Large networks of empowered leaders have been mobilized for each of these ministry disciplines.
His office has produced a record number of resources over the last decade to assist unions, conferences and local churches in training leaders to meet the challenges of today’s youth and young adults. He is the author of six books and has several others that are soon to be released.
Several major initiatives have been established under his leadership including the NAD YPAC Leadership SUMMIT and the Just Claim It (JCI) World Youth Prayer Congresses. Thousands of youth have strengthened their relationship with Jesus as a result.
Pastor JB is married to Maxine and they have three grown children and one granddaughter. He enjoys fishing, motorcycles, all sports, writing, and spending time with his family.
