■ GIEN – GLOBAL INTERNET EVANGELISM NETWORK FORUM, will meet Sept 9-13 in Orlando, FL. The Internet is the medium of choice for millions of people including postmoderns – that group we have so much trouble reaching. All Internet specialists, communicators, and church leaders are urged to attend this GIEN Conference to network with others, to seek new and innovative ways of using the Internet for witnessing and attracting new people to Christ.
■ CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES TRAINING IN ORLANDO, FL, will be held Sept 11-13 — The "Go Fish" Convention is a fun packed, hands-on opportunity to learn how to work with children. Each day is fast-paced, interactive, and practical. With over 70 workshops there will be plenty of time to learn and be encouraged by those who have worked in children's ministries.
Pastors, parents, leaders, teachers, anyone who works with children birth to age 12 will find practical ways to improve their ministry. Churches that are involved in or would like to start creative ministries such as puppetry, clown, and drama are encouraged to bring their teams.
There will be at least 40 exhibitors from a variety of publishers and companies with children's ministries materials for you to peruse.
■ BEGIN PLANNING NOW FOR YOUR FALL EVANGELISM SERIES to begin simultaneously throughout the division.
The next Share the Hope Together Webinar will be July 8. Gary Gibbs and special guest evangelists will begin the planning process again with the goal of being ready to launch public meetings on September 9. All pastors and lay pastors are encouraged to attend the Webinar.
For more about Share the Hope and the Year of Evangelism, read the NAD section of Adventist World.
■ MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR HEALTH SUMMIT ORLANDO, 2010 — Jan 24 - Feb 7. "Optimal Health for the 21st Century" will be covered in four separate tracks of training with many new seminars being offered. Watch for more information.
