■ VOP HAS AN APP FOR THAT — The Voice of Prophecy Radio application appeared in the App Store (Search for “VOP”) last week making it the first radio application for the iPhone to be devoted to providing inspirational content. The application, which has an easy-to-use user interface, provides VOP Radio to its users 24/7 in two formats. Users can listen to current programming in a streaming format like the radio, or select from a list of recently aired programs to listen upon demand.

The application runs the same stream that appears in VOP Radio category on The Adventist Channel and was developed by Kyle Borg, president of BiggyTV, LLC, that created the platform for The Adventist Channel and SDALink.

The Application will run on both the iPhone and on the second-generation iPod Touch. It can be downloaded in the App Store or on the VOP Web site at www.VOP.com.

■ "REVELATION SPEAKS PEACE" IN THE HEART OF LOS ANGELES — It Is Written and the Southern California Conference had a great opening weekend for "Revelation Speaks Peace," which is part of the "Claim LA" effort. Due to the high number of pre-registrations, the series was moved into the Shrine Auditorium for opening weekend in order to accommodate the crowds. An average of 2,400 people attended Friday - Sunday to hear Pastor Shawn Boonstra preach the first topics in this full-message series. On Tuesday, the meetings moved into the Shrine Expo Hall as originally planned, and new people continue to arrive every night. The audience is very receptive and local pastors are already in contact with 1,600 guests. Please keep this series in your prayers!

■ THE SOQUEL, CALIF. CAMP MEETING WILL BE BROADCAST on the Hope Church Channel — You can watch the Thursday evening meetings and both Sabbath worship services, July 15-25.
■ THE HOPETV CHURCH CHANNEL IS  AVAILABLE on the AMC-4 satellite system only (aka GloryStar) and is not on DIRECTV.

To have your camp meeting or other church event carried by Hope Channel call 301-680-6689.

■ CANCELLED — THE MISSION TRIP TO TIJUANA, MEXICO, planned for the Adventist Single Adult Ministry (ASAM) has been cancelled due to the Swine Flu (H1N1) outbreak.

■ STORIES WANTED — The Voice of Prophecy Bible School is 67 years old. Kurt Johnson is collecting stories of pastors, educators, administrators and support staff whose lives were impacted by the Voice of Prophecy Bible lessons. Stories such as how they influenced you to make a decision to accept Jesus, to be baptized, or influenced your family to become Seventh-day Adventists are wanted. Using stories for publication or sharing publically will only be done with permission.
