— RESOURCES —

■ UPDATE ON 2009 YEAR OF EVANGELISM, “SHARE THE HOPE” — Some churches are holding as many as four evangelistic series this year. As of February baptisms are up 15-38% more than the same time last year.

Resources such as sermons, seminars, logo, fliers, print house suggestions for ordering handbills, stories of faith and much more are available on the website to make meeting planning easier.

 Contact: www.SharetheHope2009.com.

PRIME TIME TO MEET AND GREET FELLOW PASTORS — The Ministry Professional Growth Seminar, Apr 21, 1:00-4:30 pm ET, on the Hope Church Channel will be broadcast live from Southern Adventist University. Plan now to host the event. Get to know the pastors in your community and offer them a day of skill-building and fellowship.

 Contact: http://preach.ministerialassociation.com.

■ IT IS WRITTEN: NOW ON TWITTER — It Is Written's "A Better Way to Live" devotional is a daily spiritual boost for busy people, and thousands are already receiving it via the website, e-mail and iTunes (learn more at www.itiswritten.com/betterway). This week, It Is Written added another option for receiving "A Better Way to Live" updates. Twitter users can now subscribe at www.twitter.com/ABWL to receive all the latest devotional links. And those wanting to subscribe to It Is Written's main Twitter feed can do so at www.twitter.com/itiswritten.

■ ANOTHER OUTREACH OPPORTUNITY TO COMMUNITY PROFESSIONALS — Hospice Teleconference, “Diversity and End-of-Life Care,” will be broadcast Apr 29, 1:30-4:00 pm ET, on the Hope Church Channel.

Pastors, counselors, hospice and other nurses, end-of-life caregivers and others appreciate the opportunity to learn more about a topic that is part of their service to community.  They can receive CEUs. See how to offer the option at the website. Open your church to local professionals who will enjoy getting together and sharing experiences within their field.

Contact: www.hospicefoundation.org. This program had been cancelled, but is now back on schedule.

■ SAFETV® WILL AIR A LIVE EVENT, Apr 3-5, entitled “God’s Three Greatest Gifts.” It will feature Monte Church, Lonnie Melashenko and Dwight Nelson discussing God’s gifts of Creation, Salvation and Redemption, and Eternal Life.

Satellite systems purchased before 2008 must be updated to receive SafeTV.

 Contact: www.safe.glorystar.tv.

■ BIBLE STUDY RADIO SPOTS — Spots for Discover can be localized with a church's phone number, mailing address, website, or e-mail address.

 Contact: 805-955-7633.

— INSIDE SCOOP —

■ CORRECTION: THE SDALINK URL for “A Tribute to Paul Harvey” was given incorrectly in last week’s Friday FAX.

 Contact: http://link.biggytv.com/media/265/Paul_Harvey_Tribute/ for the tribute.

Paul Harvey and his wife Angel, were friends of Adventists. Read more about his connection and church attendance at www.adventistreview.org/article.php?id=2450

■ MEMBERS OF THE FIRST FARSI-SPEAKING Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated the grand opening of their new congregation in Southern California last month.

The church's primary outreach to the Persian community is radio programming in Farsi, broadcast to countries in northern Africa, the Middle East and Asia. The programming – which includes drama and music – began airing on Los Angeles area public access channels, but is now available 15 hours a week on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
