— HOPE TV TO AIR MINISTRIES CONVENTION —

by Scott Steward, Hope Channel Marking Director

“Come and See! Renewing the Call to New Testament Evangelism” is the theme for the 2009 Adventist Ministries Convention, January 18-21, in Myrtle Beach, SC. Hope Channel will broadcast all of the general sessions of the convention, including the general Leadership Sessions, the Worship Services, and the launch of “Share the Hope,” the kickoff event for the 2009 Year of Evangelism.

Speakers for general sessions include: George Barna, Ron Clouzet, Gwendolyn Goldsby Grant, Karl Haffner, Derek Morris, Frederick Russell, Vicky Zygouris-Coe and Don Schneider.

The Adventist Ministries Convention is the premier event for ministry specialists, pastors, administrators, and ministry directors of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. The overall thrust of the convention program is to focus attention on equipping members and churches to be actively engaged in outreach and evangelism.

In an unparalleled opportunity for ministry specialists, educators, administrators, and pastors, the 2009 Ministries Convention brings the resources, expertise, and leadership for ministry together around a singular goal:  fulfilling the gospel commission.

Hope Channel will broadcast live the general sessions of the convention, including all of the vibrant worship and music, inspiring preaching, and engaging stories from individuals whose lives have been changed by God’s grace.

“Share the Hope,” the formal name for the 2009 Year of Evangelism, will receive a formal launch via satellite TV broadcast on Tuesday, January 20, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, in an event that will be broadcast live on Hope Channel.  “Share the Hope” is an opportunity for churches to utilize every ministry to reach out with the gospel message to their communities. It is a renewal of the core mission and task of the Seventh-day Adventist church in North America. The 2009 Adventist Ministries Convention is the cornerstone event in the realization of the goals of this inspired initiative.
