Harry D. Johnson, February 27, 1916 to August 14, 2008
Harry D. Johnson was born February 27, 1916 in Wibaux, Montana. He died August 14, 2008 in Westminster, Maryland. In 1940 he graduated from Walla Walla College, was employed in a Health Food Store for Boulder Sanitarium in Colorado, and married Merle Kinney with whom he would share sixty years. Harry served in Adventist Book Center and conference treasury in the Nebraska, Wyoming and Texas conferences. In 1947 he moved to Asia and spent twenty-three years as treasurer of the Indonesia Union Mission, North Philippine Union Mission and the Far Eastern Division. In 1970 he was elected Assistant Treasurer of the General Conference. He retired in 1980.
He is survived by two sons, Del and Ron Johnson, a sister, Lauretta King, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren
A Memorial Service was held for him, August 23 at 6 p.m., at the Westminster Seventh-day Adventist® Church in Westminster, MD
