■ NO FRIDAY FAX NEXT WEEK – CELEBRATE FREEDOM! July 4 is the U.S. Independence Day.

■ EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT FOR CRUISE WITH A MISSION — an innovative project for and by young adults ages 18 to 35. It combines a vacation and spiritual retreat with active and meaningful mission projects.

Cruising December 14-21, from Tampa, Florida to Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico, young adults from all over the world will collectively engage in construction, medical work, children’s ministry, and simple acts of kindness.

Sign up for Cruise with a Mission by July 1 to save $100. Sign up July 2 -15 and save $50.

Also, Cruise with a Mission is looking for a team of 30 physicians and 30 dentists for two intense days of medical and dental care in Belize City, Belize, and Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. For more information visit www.cruisewithamission.org.

■ RECONNECTING MINISTRIES — Holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter are prime times when people return to visit a church if they have not attended church for a long time. These are traditional times to show great hospitality. This year be ready for them. Teach your members how to re-connect with former and non-attending members and stay connected.

More than 100,000 Adventists have reconnected during the past five years. The trainers at the Center for Creative Ministry use techniques such as motivation, practice, and feedback to design training events for local churches, conferences, camp meetings, ministerial development workshops, union and division-wide gatherings.

■ HELP CHURCHES BE READY TO WELCOME NEWCOMERS for English and Spanish NET 2008, the Year of Pastoral Evangelism 2009, and everything in between.

Resources about how to make a church visitor friendly, how to see a church through visitors’ eyes, ways to enhance the worship service, how to have a growing and vital church congregation and atmosphere, how to renew relationships with non-attenders, and more, are available for training members.

Encourage members to attend the Health Summit (October 17-20 in Loma Linda) to learn how to give health seminars to enhance community relations with their church. Encourage others to attend the GIEN Conference (July 9-13 in Denver) to learn ways of creating outreach tools in church web sites.

Contact: AdventSource at www.adventsource.com or call 800-328-0525 for training and outreach materials. Contact www.plusline.org for information on conferences.

■ PUT APRIL 24-25, 2009 ON YOUR SCHEDULE, to attend the NAD Adult Sabbath School Summit, "One Mission, Many Methods," in Silver Spring, Maryland. Objective: Brainstorming Creative Methods of Implementing the Four Goals of Sabbath School. Anyone interested in strengthening adult Sabbath school should attend.
