■ THE NORTH AMERICAN DIVISION OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED on Monday, May 26, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
■ JUNE 14, WOMEN'S MINISTRIES EMPHASIS DAY — Resource materials, including sermon with PowerPoint slides and seminar with PowerPoint presentation, are available in English and Spanish from AdventSource or from the NAD Women's Ministries web site.
■ DISCOVERIES '08 REGISTRATION PACKETS MAILED MAY 19 — The first mailing to sites that have registered for Discoveries '08 went out May 19. Weekly mailings will be sent as registrations come in.
Some churches are in the midst of showing Empowered by the Spirit, the revival series by Mark Finley. Others will be showing it later but Pastor Finley is hoping that all churches will use the series to prepare for Discoveries '08 beginning October 24.
■ GC SESSION MUSIC — The Division is looking for excellent music for the General Conference Session, June 23 - July 3, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia.

■ THE HOPE OF SURVIVORS WILL HOST A HOPE AND HEALING CONFERENCE at the Holiday Inn Select Minneapolis/ St. Paul International Airport, June 27-28. The Hope of Survivors is dedicated to helping victims of pastoral sexual abuse and misconduct, as well as providing educational and informational materials and seminars to pastors and churches worldwide. Professional memberships include Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI), Outpost Centers International (OCI), and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).
The conference is primarily for adult female victims of pastoral sexual abuse and their spouses. However, those who desire to learn more about pastoral sexual abuse and prevention are also welcome. Topics include: What is pastoral sexual abuse? How does this happen? Is there an imbalance? Who is vulnerable? What are the vulnerabilities? Why is this not an affair? How do we prevent this? Where is God? How to start over? How should the church respond? There will be testimonies, inspiring messages and more.

■ CHILD SATELLITE EVANGELISM, “JUST FOR KIDS” — This fall, Pastor Doug Batchelor and Amazing Facts will present a unique satellite evangelism program just for kids. Amazing Adventure will be broadcast live on 3ABN, September 12–20, from Dallas, Texas. This 10-part program will be filled with exciting illustrations, interactive Bible questions, and new Amazing Adventure Bible Guides. It will be ideal for reaching young people ages 8-12 with the gospel and leading them to lifelong decisions for Jesus.

■ “EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT” — Adventist Preaching Vol 20 features Mark Finley and his series, “Empowered by the Spirit.” It was taped especially for Adventist Preaching and NET 2008. The five sermons will inspire and motivate members to share their love for God.
