■ HOLIDAY PLANS AND GREETINGS — We want to wish everyone a very special and blessed Christmas and New Year’s holiday season while we take this special time to celebrate our blessings and the wonderful love of our “God with us,” and more opportunities to serve Him better in the coming year!
Most of the North American Division and General Conference offices will be closed December 24 - January 2 for the holidays. No Friday FAX until January 11.
Please let your pastors and churches know about the following:
Go to the NAD website to receive inspirational holiday greetings from President Don Schneider.
Remember the special NAD-wide Communion Service, also outlined at the NAD website.
Be sure to watch GC President Jan Paulsen's New Year's message, which will air on the Hope Channel on Sabbath, December 22, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. ET, or watch it live at www.hopetv.org.
■ FLOODING RELIEF NEEDS IN OREGON AND WASHINGTON — Adventist Community Services is working hard to relieve suffering and homelessness following the severe flooding in the Pacific Northwest. How can we help these people who have lost so much during a season usually full of joy and family times?
Contact: www.nadadventist.org for details.
■ THE 2007 NAD CHRISTMAS TELEVISION SHOW, "Christmas at Cadillac Jack's" has been so well received by some television programers that the division is being paid in some cases for the right to air the program. Get the full story, and the schedule for your area at the NAD web site. It will air on several major television networks and independent stations including Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN), the Hallmark Channel, and the Hope Channel. Other Christian and secular networks and stations will be carrying the show as well.
Contact: www.nadadventist.org for the schedule and more information.
There will be no DVDs produced of this program because of the requirement to pay the actors and actresses extra when DVDs are sold. If you do not have access to any of the television providers, you can still watch the show live at the Hope TV website where all Hope Channel programing is streamed live, at www.hopetv.org.
■ VOP SERIES ON “KEEPING OUR KIDS HEALTHY” January 7-11 --- The Voice of Prophecy, with Pastor Lonnie Melashenko, will air an important series, providing biblical solutions to the childhood obesity epidemic plaguing North America. “Keeping Our Kids Healthy” explores scripturally-based ways to positively influence the eating habits and lifestyles of today’s young people to combat what’s being called the greatest public health threat of our time, affecting more than 9 million children.
To find a local radio station airing the Voice of Prophecy daily broadcasts, visit www.vop.com or phone 1-800-SDA-PLUS.
■ PHOENIX CENTRAL SPANISH CHURCH has joined those that are broadcasting on television. They air daily on Almavision TV, with live programing on Sabbaths. They also webcast 24/7 at their website with programs on a variety of subjects throughout the week, including community services, health, youth, family, and the Bible.
