"People have lost hope and they are reaching for something that they think will bring them hope.... Every one of us has those moments in time when hope is shattered, when the things that we have been dreaming about come to naught, and it is awfully painful. I am so glad that hope is not based upon our current situation…. We all lose hope at times....  At the very worst moment of your life, God provided for you eternally! At that moment where you were hostile and unhappy with God, He provided the gift of His Son!"

 – President Daniel Jackson in his devotional this morning for the NAD staff worship, based upon Romans 5:1-8
