A brilliant new stained glass window depicting the second coming of Jesus has been installed at the North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) office in Ridgefield, Wash. The one-inch-thick window was designed by Clinton Conley, who has designed and installed original stained glass windows in churches across the U.S. The three shafts of yellow rays represent the Trinity. The 12 shafts of green light rays represent the ministry of Christ’s 12 disciples. Also depicted are the seven trumpets of the book of Revelation. The five conferences in the union are represented with the big dipper stars at the top.

"Jesus suffered, and He didn't always communicate with God as though they were having a pleasant walk on a beautiful day! NO! NO! My Bible informs me that:

  • He prayed with, '...strong crying and tears.'
  • He relied upon the Father to provide Him with the daily energy to  face  that  which faced Him.
  • He sweat, '...as it were great drops  of  blood,' when He was wrestling with the question of human destiny.
  • He learned obedience through the things which He suffered."
 – NAD President Daniel R. Jackson, in his devotional Friday night at the 2016 Emotional Wellness Summit in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 13-17.

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.... 1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14. Learn more.
