12-7-15 Kettering College Ranked 16th in the Nation and 1st in Ohio for being a “Value-Added College”
by Jessica Bean
According to Brookings, value-added measures attempt to isolate the contribution of the college to student outcomes, as distinct from what one might predict based on student characteristics or the level of degree offered. It is not a measure of return on investment, but rather a way to compare colleges on a more equal footing, by adjusting for the relative advantages or disadvantages faced by diverse students pursuing different levels of study across different local economies.
“I am thrilled that Kettering College is providing such extraordinary value to its students and alumni,” says Kettering College President Nate Brandstater. “Families all over America are placing more importance on the impact a college degree will have on a graduate’s career prospects. This study shows that Kettering College does best what people value most.”
