G. Alexander Bryant,  NAD Executive Secretary, was invited to appear on the Glenn Beck Program as a spokesperson from the Seventh-day Adventist Church to answer questions about who Adventists are and what we believe. The program aired Thursday morning, Oct. 22.  Listen to the interview.  MORE

October 22, 2015 marked the 85th anniversary of VOAR Christian Family Radio, headquartered in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was started in 1929, in the back of the home of Adventist pastor Harold Williams, and today, VOAR is Canada’s largest Christian Radio Network, and the oldest Adventist-owned media organization in North America. MORE

Prayer Call, Nov. 5/6 - Join the North American Division Prayer Ministry team on the first Thursday of each month for an all-night prayer call starting at 10:00 pm Eastern Time to 5:00 am Eastern Time. Dial 404-891-6338; use access code Prayer# (772937#).

There will be a different leader each half hour during the evening and you can join anytime for as long or as briefly as you wish.  Join us any time during the evening. Got a prayer request? Email it to NADPrayerRequests@gmail.com. They will be prayed over by a team of prayer warriors each week.


The Annual Week of Prayer this year is November 1-7. "Living in Anticipation: Revival and the Second Coming," is the theme this year. You can find the 2015 Week of Prayer Readings online in a special issue of The Adventist Review.



You can feed one child for .50 cents a day! The "do fast" began in 2013 to fulfill the Biblical mandate to "defend orphans" (Isaiah 1:17), hence the name "do." Participate with your children and students to help teach them the value of sharing your bread with the hungry according to Isaiah 58, which is the fast that God has chosen. The fast will be on Nov. 14 during World Orphans' Weekend. MORE;  Watch the :60 second video.

The time change is coming for most of us in NAD, this Nov. 4, when we will "fall back" and "gain" an extra hour. Here's a podcast on "Surviving the Time Change," that is one of a series called "Living Well," created by the Adventist Medical Center in Portland, Ore. LivingWell PDX blogs and podcasts on various subjects relating to health and healing are addressed. They're available on the Living Well website, as well as on iTunes. A "growing" ministry that feeds a family, church and community

With a large garden, Rick and Cindy Wilson of Grants Pass, Ore., had to learn how to farm and still maintain their jobs. Harvesting enough to share with their Gateway Church family, the Gospel Rescue Mission, the Boys and Girls Club, Dorcas, the Food Bank, and other organizations., time is a huge factor in their lives, and weeding can take up much of it.
