Seventh-day Adventists are the most racially diverse group in the U.S., according to Pew Research Center which studied 29 groups including Protestant, other religious groups and subsets of religiously unaffiliated. The U.S. adult population is reported as 66% Whites, 12% Blacks, 4% Asians, 5% other mix, and 15% Latinos. Adventists are reported as 37% Whites, 32% Blacks, 8% Asians, 8% other mix, and 15% Latinos. La Sierra University is number eight in a list in Money Magazine of 50 U.S. colleges that add the most value. In addition, La Sierra ranked number 216 on Money’s Best Colleges list of 736 higher education institutions around the country rated on the best value for tuition dollars. MORE

 
   
Washington Adventist University (WAU) is listed in the top 100 “Most Affordable Colleges East of the Mississippi" by the Great Value Colleges (GVC) website. According to GVC, WAU ranks highly in educational rigor as well as college affordability. MORE  

 
   
Kids know they are important at the Pacific Union College church.  Children's church is held six to eight times a year, and as many as 400 kids and parents attend each children’s church. Up to 100 volunteers – including college students and people in their 90s – take part in preparing and presenting the events. Church begins with a worship service, followed by time to explore a variety of stations featuring interesting displays, hands-on activities, fun art projects, creative snacks, and abundant decorations all centered on a theme. The Adventist-laymen's Services & Industries (ASI) Convention will be held in Spokane, Wash., August 5-8.  Registration is still possible, either on the ASI Convention website or at the convention. GC President Ted Wilson will conduct the divine service on Sabbath. ASI Secretary-Treasurer Kyle Allen will deliver the keynote address. ADRA Canada is celebrating 30 years of changing lives with 30 Days of Impact. July 17 was their 30th anniversary and they are celebrating through stories from the past 30 years that are about lives that have been positively changed through the work of ADRA Canada. They are sharing these stories on the ADRA Canada website, Facebook, and Twitter. Celebrate with them as they review how God has blessed ADRA's ministry through the years. MORE
