Historic copies of The Voice of Truth newsletters have recently been discovered and are now housed in the La Sierra University (LSU) H.M.S. Richards Divinity School Library, which was officially dedicated and opened April 18, during LSU's Homecoming Weekend. When LSU archivist Tony Zbaraschuk first looked inside the large, worn, hardcover volume, he couldn't quite believe what he saw. Included in the nearly three years of The Voice of Truth newsletters were some dated before the October 22, 1844 day of "The Great Disappointment," which provide great insight into how people were thinking at that time. If you have been mysteriously unsubscribed to NewsPoints, it probably is because you have simply forwarded your copy to someone who absentmindedly "unsubscribed" instead of asking you not to forward it. Since the forwarded copy will still have your identity in it, the "unsubscribe" order will be registered your email address – not theirs. If you forward NewsPoints to a group, ask each person to please let you know if they don't want to receive it so you can take them off the list. If you forward to only one person, you might want to use the "forward to a friend" option in the black area at the bottom of every newsletter.

Of course, the best thing would be to suggest that each person subscribe personally, at www.nadadventist.org/newspoints, which is where you can also re-subscribe or unsubscribe, and find archived issues.

You might also want to show the video, "Nurturing with a Purpose," which tells more about the types of ministries women are doing across the division to share Jesus with other women.

NewsPoints, the North American Division e-newsletter, will be at the General Conference Session again this year. Go to www.nadadventist.org/newspoints to subscribe. Please share this information with your church members.

What if someone tells you they are or have been abused? What can you do if you suspect abuse? How can you tell if someone is being abused?  How can we prevent child abuse in our churches, schools, or organizations?
