Seán K. Robinson
NAD Adventist Community Services (ACS) Disaster Response Director, Crisis Care and Youth Empowered to Serve (YES)
For more than 18 years, Seán has served in gospel and administrative ministry, social services, humanitarian relief and development, management, strategic planning, policy/ procedure development, account management, and marketing analysis with the Adventist Church.
Most recently, Seán has served as the Adventist Community Services Director in the Texico Conference (west Texas and New Mexico). Numerous food pantries have been established by churches across the region, with one church providing food assistance to up to 10% of the families in their town. Seán has supported the implementation of the YES program ministry in Santa Fe, as well as three successful years of the Stand Down program, aimed at serving homeless veterans in the Northern New Mexico area. He has conducted ACS DR training in Albuquerque, Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, and Santa Fe.
Seán’s interest in relief and development work began while serving with Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Albania as the Country Director for 3 ½ years. During that time he worked with several development programs across the country, including a DANIDA funded primary health care program that significantly reduced the infant mortality rate in one county. Most notably he led ADRA’s response to the Kosovo refugee crisis in 1999, during which ADRA worked with the United Nations World Food Program and UNHCR to provide a feeding program for 100,000 refugees.
Seán’s passion is ministry and working with people. He has pastored churches in west Texas, mentored pastors and churches, served in several departmental and leadership positions at the conference level and assisted the conference leadership team. He has also served as a member of the board of directors for the New Mexico Veterans Integration Center, whose mandate is to provide a two-year assistance program aimed at helping homeless veterans reintegrate into society, and as a member of the Christian Leadership Alliance (CLA).
Sean grew up in England, where his father was an Adventist pastor for 45 years until retiring from the North England Conference. Since 2000, he has served the Adventist Church in the United States, first in west Texas, and then in New Mexico. He has been married for over 12 years to Catherine, the love of his life. Catherine is an attorney practicing in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, natural resources. They have been blessed with two children.
