5-7-14 ACS Opens Warehouses and Distribution Centers for Tornado Survivors
Over the past weekend, Adventist Community Services (ACS) opened a 288,000 square foot warehouse in Ark. Lavida Whitson, ACS Coordinator for Arkansas-Louisiana Conference reported that the facility is capable of serving the two towns devastated during last week's tornado outbreak. On Monday they unloaded 42 semitrailers of items from across the country to be sorted and distributed.
Lillie Buckingham, ACS Coordinator for South Central Conference (Miss./Tenn. area), has reported that the warehouse in Tupelo, Miss. has received cleaning supplies and items for personal hygiene kits.  
Barbara Barnes, ACS Coordinator for South Central Conference (Ala. area), has opened a 14,000 square foot warehouse.

The following facilities being operated by South Central's management team. These facilities are serving as a collection site, distribution site and as a warehouse. They are receiving donations and serving the public:

Ray Elsberry, ACS Director for Gulf States Conference, has opened a collection and distribution center at the College Drive Adventist Christian School in Pearl, Miss. The children are using the hallways for eating to allow the cafeteria to be used for the collection centers.
