5-14-13 Do the "do FAST"

 "do FAST" -defend orphans!

The North American Division Education, Ministerial and Youth Departments are pleased to announce their partnership with Restore a Child in the new ‘do’ Fast movement for Adventist schools, churches and youth groups.
The four entities are joining together to launch a fast that introduces our students and young people to the Seventh-day Adventist worldview and the biblical mandate about the true fast as described in Isaiah 58.

There is now an option to join the do FAST, a 24-hour fast for Adventist churches, youth groups, Pathfinders, schools, academies, and universities.

Restore a Child recommends that during the entire month of October, which is designated as World Hunger Month, all Adventist churches and educational institutions host activities and events to raise awareness of and funds for the six million children who die every year because of hunger and starvation. Sing and praise God for your blessings, and donate the cost of three missed meals to feed hungry and starving children through Restore a Child, Suggested activities will be included in the do FAST participation kit which will be coming out in the future.

Join this global fast in solidarity with starving and hungry people, especially children whom God entrusted to us.
