3-27-13 Esperanza TV approved for broadcast in Canada
First full-time third-language religious network to receive approval there
The first day of spring is something most Canadians long for. This year March 20th brought something special to members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada, especially the Spanish members.
Esperanza TV, the Spanish Hope Channel has been approved to broadcast coast to coast in Canada, and is already broadcasting in Cable on CityWest Cable in British Columbia. The official languages in Canada are French and English and Esperanza is the only full-time third-language religious network ever to receive this approval there. The CRTC was extremely co-operative in having this approved, and as the Broadcast Engineer Consultant said, "The CRTC bend over backwards to accommodate this application".
Spanish Adventist Churches from across Canada banded to get to write letters of support as well as prayer vigils to have this tool to reach out to the entire Spanish Community for the three Angeles Messages.
For Canadians, the next step is to get this on your local cable TV. For hints on that please contact your Conference's Communication leader.
