2013 devotional books for all ages

Generations of church members have warm memories of gathering at the breakfast table to read from a devotional book. The experience is even better today because readers can choose from a wide variety of devotional books published by the Review and Herald. Blessed, has devotions for every day of 2013 written especially for women by women. Over the Top is a daily devotional for juniors, and Momentum targets teens. Fish Food is a collection of devotions more in tune with young adults.

The adult devotional for 2013 is God of Wonders, written by biologist David Steen. Day by day, the book reveals God’s creative genius in things we take for granted such as gravity, skin, and even bacteria. Ye Shall Receive Power is a daily devotional compiled from Ellen White’s writings on the work of the Holy Spirit. (These two books are available as a boxed gift set.)

Families and individuals who plan for devotional time will be able to find just the book that matches their needs. “One size doesn’t fit all,” says Review and Herald editorial VP, Dwain Esmond. “In our books, we try to capture what God is saying to each unique audience.”
