9-26-12 New Ministry Launched at the NAD Adventist Media Center
Simi Valley, CA -- The Jesus101 Biblical Institute, which began in June 2009 under the auspices of Voice of Prophecy and Faith For Today, has now become an official media ministry of the North American Division.
Pastor Elizabeth Talbot, founder and administrator, as well as the speaker/director of Jesus 101, has already become well known through the Christ-centered teaching and training seminars presented in many parts of the world and over television and the internet. She is the first female speaker/director of an NAD ministry.
The primary purpose of the Institute is to offer Biblical training for church members, lay leaders, ministers, and seekers, using sound gospel interpretive tools. The goal of the presentations is a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ by encouraging people to study the Scriptures.
The Institute has produced four television programs that continue to draw feedback from audiences around the world. Two of the programs are in English and two in Spanish. They can be seen in English on Hope Channel and LLBN and in Spanish on Esperanza TV and 3ABN Latino. In the last three years, more than 100,000 copies of Jesus 101 training booklets were sold by Pacific Press. Many of the books are available in digital formats and as audio books. Thousands of DVDs have been distributed to audiences everywhere. The Jesus 101 website offers on-demand teaching videos which are also available on YouTube.
