Ministry Description
Adventist Preaching is a collection of sermon series by some of the most renowned preachers in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is produced quarterly to provide sermons for churches without speakers and to give members the opportunity to build a personal DVD library of favorite Adventist preachers.
NET Evangelism is the filming and uplinking of a full message series live on location and then distributed to all churches in the North American Division via satellite. The Hope Church Channel carries the event which can be accessed by local churches to do public evangelism.
Bio
Bernadine Delafield joined the Office of Communication in July of 2004 to coordinate NET Evangelism for the Division, organize media sales for General Conference Session and to continue producing the Adventist Preaching DVD series, an extension of her previous association with Adventist Communication Network (ACN).
While with ACN, Bernadine coordinated projects and programming for the television network and as managing editor of the ACN News Bulletin, advertised its programming for churches and provided an avenue of communication with the satellite sites in North America.
Presently, Bernadine is the producer of the preaching resource, Adventist Preaching, and NET Coordinator for the Division. She assists NET speakers as they prepare for their evangelistic efforts. She communicates, via electronic news, the information to pastors and churches to encourage participation in the events.
Prior to ACN, Bernadine was donor response manager for Global Mission at the General Conference. Other experience includes billing and insurance consultant for the Rochester Eye Institute, customer service for Xerox and an elementary school teacher. She taught at Ruth Murdoch Elementary School on the campus of Andrews University and other locations as well as Bella Vista Elementary School when she and her husband were missionaries to Puerto Rico in the 70’s. She is an Elementary Education graduate from Union College.
Music is an important part of Bernadine’s life. Since childhood, she and her sisters have praised God through the harmony of a trio. Bernadine was a member of the National Christian Choir and presently sings with her church choir.
Bernadine is married to Trevor Delafield. They have a daughter and son-in-law and three precious grandchildren. Family, gardening and interior design provide colorful dimensions to her life.
