FACT (Faith Communities Today)

Faith Communities Today (FACT) is the largest survey of religious congregations ever conducted in the United States. It is the most inclusive, with Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Jewish, Islamic and other religious groups representing 95 percent of all worshippers in America. This study was conducted at the same time as the 2000 Census and provides an unprecedented look at religious life at the local level as we enter the 21st century.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church participated in this research with more than 40 other denominations and faiths. The Adventist segment of the FACT survey was conducted by the Institute of Church Ministry at Andrews University with Roger Dudley as research director. The analysis and dissemination of the Adventist study is being conducted by the Center for Creative Ministry with Monte Sahlin as key analyst and Paul Richardson as project coordinator.

You can link to the information below. New, additional reports and analysis is being added regularly. This is a massive study and additional information will continue to be come out during 2002 and 2003, and possibly into 2004.
